# The Ladies of Hope Ministries (The LOHM)

> The Ladies of Hope Ministries (The LOHM) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2017 and led by formerly incarcerated women, that helps people impacted by incarceration, the criminal legal system, domestic violence, and human trafficking rebuild their lives through housing, reentry support, workforce training, and advocacy. Despite "Ministries" in the name, it is a criminal-justice-reform and reentry organization, not a church or place of worship. Programs that historically centered on women and girls now also serve men and families. HUD-funded housing operates only in New York City, Prince George's County (Maryland), Miami, and New Orleans, while training, speaking, and advocacy programs run nationally and online.

- "The LOHM" stands for The Ladies of Hope Ministries. "EPIC" is the organization's guiding movement: End Poverty and Incarceration of Women and Girls.
- Housing is accessed through local Coordinated Entry and Continuum of Care referral systems, not direct sign-up, and each site serves a limited number of households per year.
- The organization operates two separate web properties beyond this site: the Global Speakers Bureau and the Hope Hub economic-development project. Both are listed under Optional.
