A 3-day transformative experience for women ready to reclaim their narratives, grow their skills, and connect in community.

Rewriting Her Story Weekend is a powerful, healing-centered experience hosted by The Ladies of Hope Ministries. This 3-day gathering is designed especially for justice-impacted women and community leaders who are ready to share their stories, build new skills, and connect with others in sisterhood.

The weekend includes film screenings, interactive workshops, a community-authored book release, and networking with women changing the world—starting with their own lives.

Friday, June 27 – Kickoff Day
Book Stop – 12:00 to 1:00 PM
Location: REFORM Alliance Office

  • Meet the authors of Rewriting Her Story

  • Community discussion and book signing

Opening Night – 5:00 to 9:00 PM
Location: Dwyer Cultural Center, Harlem

  • Film screenings: Black Butterflies & Virgin to Orbit

  • Empower Your Voice panel featuring Topeka K. Sam, Lucinda Cross, Trish Lewis, Carmela Zumbado, and Starling Thomas

  • Cocktail hour and networking

Saturday, June 28 – Workshops & Book Release
Location: Dwyer Cultural Center, Harlem

  • Morning coffee and yoga

  • Three workshop tracks:

    • Digital Literacy (Grow with Google)

    • Personal Branding (Starling Thomas)

    • Financial Wellness (TBD)

  • Book release panel: Inspiring Hope Through Stories of Resilience

  • Book signing and lunch included

Sunday, June 29 – Closing Dinner

  • Women Over Dinner: a special closing celebration co-hosted with community partners
