May has been a month of powerful movement. From reuniting incarcerated mothers with their children, to expanding our reach for young people transitioning out of foster care and juvenile detention, to sharing our story on national and local news, the work is growing because of you and the support from people who believe in our epic vision.
50 Mothers Reunited with their Children

This Mother's Day, The Ladies of Hope Ministries partnered with Kim Kardashian and REFORM Alliance on the Visit Mama campaign — covering the full cost for 50 families to travel to federal prisons across the country so incarcerated mothers could hold their children aga in. Some of these women had not seen their families in years.

HOPE HOUSE EXPANDS TO SUPPORT YOUTH FROM FOSTER CARE & JUVENILE DETENTION

The LOHM Founder and CEO, Dr. Topeka K. Sam visited Hope House in Maryland this month to announce a groundbreaking new partnership. Through this collaboration, LOHM will now provide youth training and transitional support for young people aging out of the foster care system and those exiting juvenile detention.
This is about meeting young people at the crossroads before the system fails them again. Hope House has always been a place where women find their footing after incarceration. Now, we are extending that same safety, structure, and support to the next generation. Because breaking the cycle starts before the cycle starts.

MAKE AN IMPACT

EVERY DOLLAR WRITES A NEW CHAPTER
Everything you read in this newsletter — the reunifications, the partnerships, the news coverage, the summits — happens because of you.
LOHM does not wait for permission to do this work, but we cannot do it without resources. Your gift directly funds housing, reentry coaching, youth programming, and the advocacy that keeps us fighting for women and girls the system forgot.
