We're Hiring
We're Growing
We are always on the lookout for talented individuals to join our growing team. Please see our open vacancies below We are seeking passionate and talented individuals who believe in our EPIC vision to End Poverty and InCarceration of Women and Girls.
The LOHM is committed to maintaining a staff that diversifies the not-for-profit community and recognized lived experiences and entrepreneurial spirit in their work.
Our Passion
The lives of women and girls exist at a nexus of sexism, objectification, and gender norms. For women and girls of color, racism and criminal justice policies add further roadblocks to success. In the United States, there are currently 1.2 million women under the criminal legal system's supervision. The sentencing disparities by gender, race, and ethnicity result in far higher incarceration rates for women and girls of color.
The LOHM connects disenfranchised and marginalized women and girls to resources and access to education, employment, entrepreneurship, spiritual empowerment, advocacy, food, and housing. Through our related programs, we work with women in prison and jail and formerly incarcerated women and girls returning to the community and families and communities who are most affected by over-policing and the criminal legal system.
