WHY: Individuals released from prison are 10 times more likely to become homeless, and the unemployment rate for formerly incarcerated people is nearly five times higher than the general United States population. During this virtual event, panelists will share their own experiences with reentry and explain what comprehensive reintegration looks like, demonstrated through The Ladies of Hope Ministries’ HOPE Scale Model, which is implemented in the organization’s co-living Hope Houses. The scale covers spiritual empowerment, financial literacy, self-advocacy and securing long-term housing.
